With the improvement of living standards, people are beginning to focus on theirhealth. Medical care are no longer confined to care the seriously ill patients, instead topeople’s home. Even if stay at home people can also get hospital medical supervision andtreatment. At present, more and more research institutes begin to develop telemedicinesystem, and have achieved good results. It provides a good opportunity for thedevelopment of remote medical monitoring system. In this paper, physiological signalsdeliver through the wireless sensor networks to a smart phone or PDA, and then throughthe3G mobile communication network sends the signal to a remote monitoring center. Sothat people can know their physical conditions at home at any time.In this paper, comparison of several short-range wireless communicationstechnology, choose Zigbee wireless communication technology to complete thephysiological signal acquisition and transmission. After analyzing the Zigbee networkarchitecture and protocol stack, set up a star network by the Zigbee coordinator nodes. Itconclude a coordinator node and a number of terminal nodes. Then design the hardwaresystem: selection the chip and design the chip peripheral circuits. Terminal nodecommunication module using CC2530chip as the way of data transmission. Enhanced8051MCU can process and store the data. PDA uses MSP430F149as a microprocessor.PDA is responsible for analysis and processing the physiological signal. Then display thesignal on LCD. Finally, the information will be send to a remote center by WCDMAmodule. Physiological signal Monitoring center will analyze the physiological signal.The doctor will sent orders to the user’s mobile phoneto.In addition, the system uses the improved ZigBee wireless sensor network nodelocalization algorithm to determine the personnel position, which has improved theaccuracy of position. It also save the cost of the hardware. Therefore the monitoringsystem can accurately and quickly determine the patient’s location in an unexpectedsituation.
