| Material Requirements Planning is an important part of Manufacturing Resource Planning. Itembodies the objective law and needs of manufacturing companies during their production andmanagement. Its functions cover market forecasting, production planning, material requirements,capacity requirements, inventory control, shop floor management and product sales. It runsthrough the entire production process and all related financial activities, providing an effectivemanufacturing planning, control tools and complete knowledge system. It solves the problem ofachieving maximum customer service, minimal inventory investment and efficient plant operationdemonstrated. The problem mentioned above is particularly serious in ceramic manufacturingenterprises. The system in this paper is developed in order to solve the problems aboveencountered in ceramic enterprises at the present stage.The system here is a material planning management subsystem, and a plan-led productionplanning and control system. It is an important part of enterprise management. Only with powerfulplanning capabilities, companies can guide the production and business activities smoothly. Inmaterial requirements planning management subsystem, there are two main aspects of our plan:the first is production planning providing proposal of production planning for enterprises; thesecond is the material procurement plans, providing recommendations of material procurementplan for the purchasing departments. The input data of the system are master productionscheduling, bills of materials, routing and inventory information. We can get the detailedrequirements of all the materials and manufacturing and processing plan of the products throughmaterial requirements calculating.The front-end development tools of the system is Microsoft Visual Studio6.0, thebackground relational database is the large relational databases Microsoft SQL Sever. We useobject-oriented design and C++programming language. |
