Needs Analysis And Solution Design Of Mobileinformation Service For University Library

With the development of 3G/4G mobile network technology and the popularity of smart mobile terminal, mobile Internet has penetrated into our daily life and work. In the mobile Internet environment, how to combine the characteristics of the mobile Internet to identify the meaning, models, needs, and design the system solution of mobile information services has become an urgent task for the university libraries to improve the information service level and ability. Therefore, in this paper, taking the library of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University as an example, the meaning and model of mobile information services in university libraries are systematically described, the needs of mobile information services in university libraries are identified by investigating and analyzing of teachers and students, and the system solution of the mobile information services in university libraries are studied and designed. The main work of this paper includes:(1) Systematically describes the meaning and model of university library mobile information service. The paper analyzes the meaning of information services and the characteristics of mobile Internet, and refines the core elements basing on the information service of mobile Internet. On this basis, the paper summarizes the evolution of the information service model in the library, systematically discusses the meaning and characteristics of mobile information services in university libraries, and then establishes the model of mobile information service in university libraries.(2) In-depthly investigates and analyzes the needs of mobile information services in university libraries. The application of mobile information services in university libraries at home and abroad are analyzed and summarized from two both information view and services view of information services. On the basis of this, the questionnaire is designed, the needs of mobile information services in university libraries are investigated and statistically analyzed, accordingly the needs of mobile information services in university libraries are summarized.(3) Designs the system solution of mobile information services in university library. This paper expounds the design principles of mobile information service system in university library, on this basis, designs the system solution of mobile information services in university library from the function and technology viewpoints. The total technical framework of the system is designed and the two key points about data resource integration and uniform retrieval as well as scenario based personalized services are designed.
