| Good balance is the basis of people’s daily life activity. Children are at an important stage of physical growth and development, so it is essential to have a good balance ability. There are a lot of special children having balance dysfunction. Abnormal balance function will not only make their life inconvenient, but also create obstacles to their psychology, making them lack of a sense of security and affecting the ability of interpersonal communication. What’s more, it may even affect their future learning and working, reducing their quality of life. The psychological characteristics of children and adult’s are different and balance of general training for adults is difficult for children to conduct smoothly. In this paper, a kind of balance ability evaluation and training system is designed and realized based on a large amount of data and the computer related technology, helping children who have balance dysfunction improve their balance ability.First the background and the present state of human balance ability was analyzed and the framework of the whole system was built based on the analysis results, including the integration and selection for the evaluation parameter, balance training design etc..Then hardware platform for the system was built, including the establishment of the balancer, the drawing of the hardware circuit board, which realizes acquisition of the human body’s four point pressure signal and through the communication module they are transmited to the host computer for the next processing. Then the upper computer software was designed, including the software implementation of database, the objective evaluation of balance ability, thr training for balance ability and the data storage. After that the evaluation module of the system was calibrated and optimized using the standard weight. Moreover 15 normal children were used to collect evaluation data. The data was processed to verify the stability of the evaluation parameters. The unstable ones were removed. Finally a child with balance disorders was trained to test the training feasibility of the system. It shows that the training of the system is possible and it can help improve the special children’s balance ability. |
