Research On Performance Evaluation Of Supply Chain Of Cross-Media Publishing Of Science & Technology Journals

Science and technology journals have played an important role in the spread of scientific information. In recent years, science and technology periodical publishing industry has been rapid development and it has promoted the spread of technology information and the progress of science and technology. With the development of information and Internet technology, the technology brings challenges and opportunities to the periodicals of science and technology. On the one hand information technology can optimize the process of sci-tech journals publishing and information sharing can improve the efficiency of supply chain of science and technology periodicals, on the other hand Internet technology impacts the original paper publishing mode and more and more people have begun to abandon the paper reading habits. The digital transformation of sci-tech periodicals have become a major concern of periodical publishing enterprises.Therefore, this paper briefly describes the related theories. It analysis the supply chain of sci-tech periodicals. One is the traditional publishing model which has a product of simply paper publication. The second is the digital publishing model which has a product of the paper journals into digital form of sci-tech periodicals. Compared with two supply chain, they exist problems. Next it analysis the cross-media publishing model. It combines the traditional publishing and digital publishing and the corresponding supply chain changes. With the change of model of publishing, publishing supply chain corresponding changes. Due to the use of information technology, the digital publishing supply chain can solve the traditional publishing supply chain problems, but these problems cannot be completely solved. On this basis, the study analysis cross-media publishing supply chain of sci-tech periodicals. It solves the various readers’needs for publishing media publications and optimizes the business process of sci-tech periodicals. At the same time, cross-media publishing supply chain can solve the old problems in the traditional publishing and digital publishing supply chain.On this basis, it carries out that cross-media publishing supply chain performance evaluation system of science and technology periodical. This study broadens the supply chain performance evaluation research in the application of the science and technology periodical publishing industry. It selects the BSC-SCOR model as the reference model of supply chain performance evaluation index system design and combines the characteristics of science and technology periodicals to build cross-media publishing system of supply chain performance evaluation index and model. It selects a representative sample of journals-- "Management Case Study and Review". According to the evaluation index system, it makes the supply chain performance evaluation of sample periodical. It shows that the cross-media supply chain can solve the existing problems in the old supply chain in the practice. The evaluation results show that the cross-media publishing supply chain of science and technology journals can solve some existing problems and it will be the future development trend.
