| High-power radio frequency(RF) oscillator can transform DC power into high-power RF energy, which is widely used in industrial, medical, military, scientific research and many other fields. Being a core technology of RF power supply, RF oscillator is used in many aspects like plasma excitation, laser excitation, medical nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR), RF induction heating and so on.Power amplifier is the core component of RF power oscillator. It mainly completes the jobs of energy interaction and accumulation. To a certain extent, the performance of the power amplifier directly determines the performance of RF power oscillator. The ideal efficiency of class E power amplifier can reach 100%. When used for RF power oscillator, it can improve the overall efficiency. In addition, the class E power amplifier has a great number of merits, like less components, small volume, low cost and light weight, etc. The thesis designed and studied a kind of RF power generator with soft switch class E power amplifier as its core.At first, the thesis analyzed the composing form, organization structure and operating principle of class E RF power oscillator and amplifier, focusing on the design principle of class E power amplifier. It theoretically analyzed the loss, and designed the high efficiency of class E RF oscillator circuit based on the loss. The oscillator worked on class E soft switch state, using ARF461 MOSFET as its core power amplification device. It required a 100 W output with 90% efficiency. Then use ADS simulation software to analyze the circuit performance under different circumstances, aiming at the existed problems to optimize the circuit by using the principle of class E RF oscillator. This will have a guiding function for the physical production. Last but not least, based on the existing conditions, circuit experiments of class E RF power oscillator can be conducted, which verify the feasibility of the design. By analyzing and discussing the founds in this experiment waveforms and experiment, it laid a firm foundation for the subsequent researches. |
