This thesis discusses a design of smart positioning watch based on MQX Real-time operating system. It is made by GPS technology, embedded technology, computer software and other modern technology. The purpose of this thesis is to design a wearable device for elderly with dementia which can be carried. Children of the elderly can always get the location and health status of the elderly, reducing the fear of elderly lost. Also it protects family living a normal life.The main work of the thesis listed as follows.Firstly, according the task,the author took an investigation on similar products in the market,then author identified function of this the watch,that is timing, positioning, step counting, calling. In this design, the author used Freescale’s low-power processor that is K20.Ublox’s ultra-small package size of 3G communications chip called SARA-U270.At the same time, the author used Ublox’s ubx-g7020 chips with low power consumption and in small size. What’ more, the anthor used Freescale’s three-axis accelerometer MMA8451 with high precision and other chips or modules. The author sought smaller size and lower consumption in this design. Then, the author analysis of the GPS selection, and the GPS module and the communication protocol was designed.In the following,the author designed the software using MQX RTOS. On the basis of analyzing the performance of MQX, the author finished the BSP transplant and the design of tasks. Next, the author tested the main modules of the system. Finally, the author took a summary of this work and made a prospect for future research.The smart positioning watch is simple and easy to use, also meets the needs of the elderly. It can add sensors of measuring hear rate, temperature and other health-detect module. This project has a large room for expansion and the projerct is easy to upgrade. |
