With the new technology of anti-radiation missiles, electronic interference, over-low altitude penetration and stealth target appearing, radar is facing more and more severe challenge. As a new radar system, Multiple-Input Multiple-Output(MIMO) radar is becoming popular in radar field since its unique advantages compared with the phased array radar. This dissertation mainly focuses on angle estimation, array gain-phase error correction and measured data processing of MIMO radar. The main content of this dissertation is summarized as follows:1.The method for angle estimation and gain-phase error correction of MIMO radar is researched. A new method for angle estimation and gain-phase error correction of MIMO radar is proposed. The principle of this method is: the selection matrix is used to extract received data of different single array, which contain transmit and receive angle information. Then the relationship of covariance matrix in these received data is used to eigen-decomposition, so we can attain the true target angle and array steering vector. The true angle and array steering vector which we estimate before is exploited to estimate the array gain-phase errors. This algorithm not only can accurately estimate target angle and array error, but also attain the closed-form solution of gain-phase error when the error is large. Also the calculation of this algorithm is low and the peoforamnce is better than existed algorithm.2.The measured data processing of MIMO radar is researched. Firstly, the measured data processing of MIMO radar when the array error was given is studied. Several methods are presented, then these method are used to deal with the measured data. We compare the results of simulation experiments and measured data and we can know the practicality and reliability of each algorithm. Secondly, the measured data processing of MIMO radar when the array error was unknow is researched. The target angle and array gain-phase error estimation algorithm mentioned before is used to dispose the measured data. The result verifies the practicability and robustness of the algorithm proposed in this dissertation.
