On October 11,2013, an outdoor interactive reality show——Dad Where Going was grandly played. Based on Daddy, Where are We Going, it wisely joins the factors of Chinese characteristics, triggering "parent-child heat" on the television screen, and a series of similar programs also appeared, such as Dad Came Back on Zhejiang Satellite TV, Baby I’m Sorry and so on.These TV shows rich TV programs, meanwhile, parent-child TV programs like Dad Where Going also suffer criticism from all walks of life because of involving children. The paper criticizes Dad Where Going mainly from the following several aspects:Firstly, Dad Where Going deconstructs the star of the "god" in the form of "reality TV", but also constructs the "mimetic environment" through the way of defamiliarizes familiar symbolization, abstract emotion, transparent private life, meanwhile, it also cultivates the stars and the audience "mimicry personality", and it eventually builds a contradiction between the real and the brand of "reality TV". Secondly, the text rhetoric of Dad Where Going deviates from the reality context and the media image deviates from the inner characters, which leads audience to a deviated understanding from social reality and actual situation, especially the children cannot distinguish "parent-child relationships in TV" from "parent-child relationships in reality". Thirdly, the show rules of Dad Where Going plumps plot in a way of manufacturing conflicts and narrate events in a way of clips, the technique of deliberate conflicts puts the reactions of the children front to millions of audience is a disrespect to child’s "personality" and also a extraction to child’s "happiness", and the technique of clips also hides child’s "personality" and the audience. Finally, Dad Where Going not only overextends star by cultivating star’s "mimicry personality" in the show, but also packages star through a variety of platforms and any time, eventually leading to a excessive consumption of stars and audience.As the successful model of parent-child reality show, Dad Where Going essentially builds a new myth in the way of "construction——deconstruction——reconstruction", and such a process is both a consumption of the stars and the audience. Its defects should be seen by producers to improve our country’s parent-child programs.
