Analysis And Optimization Of The Network Problem Of EVDO Handdown CDMA 2000 1X

CDMA 2000 1X EVDO as the is one of The 3rd Generation (3G) standard of wireless communication system, can support multiple composite services (such as voice, packet/circuit data, positioning service) in a variety of environmental conditions with different quality of service (QoS), to meet the requirements of 3GPP2. The market competition of mobile communication industry is becoming more and more fierce, how to improve the 3G user satisfaction, improve the user experience on the 3G network, improving the existing network maintenance ability and optimizing quality, enhance the network running efficiency, has become an important subject in the maintenance of network for telecommunications operators.At first, the paper introduces Shanghai Telecom 1X and EVDO network status and the research background of EVDO handdown to 1X problems. Because the present ShanghaiTelecom’s 3G EVDO network is mainly used for carrying data services, but there is a big gap between the 3G EVDO and 2G 1X network in the peak data throughput, user plane delay, QoS security, the problem of EVDO handdown to 1X will seriously affect the network experience of users. In the development of the scale of 3G users, a number of big city such as Shanghai has become a prominent problem of 3G EVDO mobile network operators have cut 2G 3G.Secondly,the paper introduced CDMA2000 1X EVDO technology and the basic operation principle of mobile communication, the hybrid network network structure, EVDO mobile communication system theory, and introduces the principle and mechanism of EVDO handdown to 1X, combined with the practical problems in Shanghai EVDO Network, study of handdown rate algorithm. In this paper,the principle feature is EVDO handdown to 1X is analyzed from different point of view,the reason for handdown and the use of call detail record (PCMD) of conjoint analysis, put forward the comparatively accurate handdown problem algorithm, and the optimization method is proposed according to the algorithm mechanism.Then this paper comprehensively introduces the work about the method of handdown network optimaziton, optimization methods including the equipment loading problems, equipment OOS problems, forward and reverse linkcoverage problems, At the same time use the analysis algorithms and tools for verification and tracking analysis of optimization effect, and greatly optimize the Shanghai telecom EVDO network handdown 1X problems.The outcomes related with the work, including evaluation system, process analysis of the problem and the optimization tool for analysis, were adopted China Telecom group company. The optimized case was release as the typical case for Alcatel Lucent Equipment Area in the "China Telecom 3G Network Handdown to 1X Optimize Operation Manual", and the operation manual is publish to every telecom company for academic exchanges and research learning.
