| The literature cataloging is an important part of the library work, and it is important to develop the rules of cataloging for the appropriate national conditions. With the deepening of China’s reform and opening policy and the development of China’s modernization, the exchange between China and Japan is increasingly frequent, and the Japanese books in each type of library also occupy a certain share. An unified standard directory organization law should be in a unified and standard Japanese books cataloging rules as the premise, at present in our country there is no unified national Japanese books cataloging rules, the library of Japanese books and reference materials to an effective and convincing method to organize them. Therefore, it is necessary to study the rules of the Japanese book catalogue and enrich the research on the historical development of the Japanese literature resources.In this paper, firstly, sort out the rules of the Japanese literature information resources in the order of the Japanese historical time.
