As one of the most important parts in the development of radar servo system, the software platform of function simulation and performance testing of radar servo system is mainly applied to the evaluation and optimization of the function and performance of the radar servo system. The software platform consists of two main functions: the function simulation and the performance testing of the radar servo system. In the development phase of the radar servo system, the software platform requires simulating the function of display and control systems and the radar signal processor to realize the function analysis and optimization for the radar servo system, and it also requires satisfying the performance index of the radar servo system to realize the performance testing and optimization of radar servo system performance.Based on the development process of the software platform of function simulation and performance testing of radar servo system, this paper elaborates the requirement analysis, program design, key technologies, development and design, testing and debugging etc. of the software platform. The main work and innovation of the paper are as follows:1. Through analyzing the requirement of the general common used two-dimensional radar servo systems, we obtain a software platform scheme of function simulation and performance testing for most radar servo system, which enable the platform more universal.2. The software platform integrates function simulation, performance testing, data analysis and control parameter setting into one, which enables the software platform of function simulation and performance testing of radar servo system more convenient and available. Moreover, based on the results of the data analysis of radar servo system, by adjusting the control parameters of radar servo system, the platform greatly improves the efficiency of radar servo system debugging.3. The software platform adopts the extended real-time subsystem RTX on Windows system to realize the compatibility of real-time and non-real-time task, which enablesthe software platform to distribute different tasks more properly based on the real-time requirement to make the most of the system resources.4. In order to achieve the function of the analog signal processor, the software platform applies the real-time RTX subsystem driven development technology to realize the real time of the RS232 serial communication and accurate 8ms clock timing, which highly improves the synchronization between the software platform and radar servo controller.5. The software platform applies the multi-threading technology to deal with the problem of different functions running simultaneously. In order to improve the efficiency of software platform, it applies the multi-threading technology for some modules(eg: serial sending and receiving) to making the computer’s CPU utilization reach a high level, hence it improves the performance of the software platform.6. The usage of the software engineering methods to optimize the software platform makes the operation more user-friendly, the software maintenance easier and robustness stronger.It is because of the scientific program design and the use of advanced and reliable software technology makes this software platform outstanding in the online debugging. For the present, this software platform has been put into practical use.
