And Link16 has been a research focus in many countries, and it is widely used. The interception technology of signal is relatively mature at present. However, it’s also a problem how to recognize the type of the intercepted signal to perform electromagnetic interference specifically. This article dose research on the recognition algorithm of Link16 signal to meet this purpose.The paper at first gives some analysis on the communication protocol and signal characteristic of Link16, and on this basis extracts three of the Link16 features(pulse modulation, MSK modulation and frequency-hopping modulation) to recognize the Link16 signal. This paper does research on the recognition algorithm of these three features and gives their corresponding parameters estimation. The author’s major contributions are outlined as follows:1. This paper researches the recognition algorithm of the pulse modulation. The article improves the pulse detection method based on fourth order cumulant, and accurately estimates the pulse period and duty cycle of Link16 signal.2. This paper researches the recognition algorithm of the MSK modulation. Based on the fact that frequency-hopping is after the MSK modulation in Link16 signal, a new recognition algorithm of frequency-hopping MSK signal is put forward after the analysis of the MSK-signal’s characteristics.3. This paper researches the recognition algorithm of the frequency-hopping modulation. A preprocessing algorithm and a subsection recognition algorithm for frequency-hopping characteristics of Link16 are designed and on this basic several frequency-hopping parameters are estimated.
