The Development Of Personal Space Based On Mobile Technology

With the development of network and mobile technology as well as intelligent mobile terminals, strong support has been provided for the reform of teaching model and mobile learning has been widely given attention. To improve the learning efficiency and apply mobile technology into secondary education, we develop mobile teaching system for classroom teaching and name it “mobile independent school”. In order to fully embody the autonomous learning, individualize learning and knowledge management, it is necessary to develop personal space system on the basis of mobile independent school. Undoubtedly, the system plays a vital role in supporting innovate educational pattern.In this thesis, personal space mobile learning system is designed and realized by combining mobile cloud computing, ontology, data mining and software development technology. At first, we provide the analysis about the domestic and international research status on mobile learning, mobile learning system and personal space. Mobile cloud computing, ontology and software development technique has also been studied. Then, by studying the knowledge sharing model, we construct the knowledge sharing method based on ontology and put forward the classification model of learning resources which provides the basis for how to classify the learning resources. Next, knowledge ontology and recommend learning system are built by using ontology. At last, we design implement the functional module of the personal space system platform. This system is student-centered. It aims at improving the students’ ability of autonomous learning and knowledge management, and achieving the goal of students’ personalized learning.The main researches of the thesis are as follows:(1) We provide the analysis about the domestic and international research status on mobile learning, mobile independent school and personal space, and discuss about mobile cloud computing, ontology and software development technique. We describe the problems and shortages of mobile independent school existed in autonomic learning and personalized learning. We also design the frame structure and functional module of the system.(2) By researching the knowledge sharing method and knowledge ontology is designed and built based on ontology. We develop the system of knowledge ontology and build the classification model and classification strategies for learning resources by employing Protégé ontology development tools.(3) We apply data mining and personalized recommendation to build the recommend learning system and recommend for students by utilizing the students’ learning data and records.(4) The personal space mobile learning system framework and function module are designed. We complete the design of the system and the realization of the system.
