As the core equipment for radar communication system, manipulation of the computer not only completes the control of components, turntable and terminals, but also analyzes and handles data. Common computers only have a group of serial data communication interfaces based on RS232, but data transmission of the radar communication system requires communication interfaces based on RS232, RS422 and RS485. Therefore, the interface card that common computers carry cannot meet the requirements, meanwhile, radar communication system is mostly applied to hash conditions like strong interference and high humiditys and has high requirements for distance and rate of data transmission, so designing a kind of communication card with multichannel mode, strong resistance to interference and stable data transformation has become one of the major tasks in the field of radar communication.Treating this as the background and combining the developing trend of communication card, this thesis put forward a design scheme of communication card with multi mode and multi serial ports, which uses OXuPCI954 as interface chip of PCI bus, CPLD as mode control chip, and MAX3079 and MAX3245 as level conversion chips. And the thesis mainly makes a detailed introduction to the realization of each functional module, like those of communication card interface, mode control and electrical isolation and so on. Meanwhile, advantages of applying OXuPCI954 to realizing interface module are also introduced. Besides, the methods of using CPLD to realize the control of communication modes of RS232, RS422 and RS485, and in the mode of RS485, logically transforming DTR signal to realize logical control of input/output are discussed. Finally, the scheme of using ADUM540 X for realizing electrical isolation and protection design of interface circuit are discussed as well.This thesis accomplished the design of driver program based on hierarchical structured. It also discussed the realization of major functional modules like hardware resource allocation, handling serialization and hardware access, and core routines in details. At the same time, DriverStudio is applied to realize generation of driver program framework of communication card, writing functional codes and debugging of driver program in the basis of WDM driver module.Through various functional tests and environmental experiments, the design of multi serial ports based on PCI bus can stably transform data and strongly resist interference. At present, it has been used for some type of radar communication system.
