In recent years, with the rapid social and economic development, the degree ofcongestion and the growing complexity of road traffic, the existing trafficmanagement tools and services can not meet the demand for transportation.Vehicle-mounted mobile monitoring system is to focus on the vehicle gatewaytechnology, wireless communication technology, computer technology and databasetechnology of high-tech integrated systems. With further increase of vehiclemonitoring terminal services capability requirements, the declining cost of terminalhardware and operating system escalating, choose a strong compatibility of operatingsystems to support the operation of the terminal hardware system becomes extremelyimportant.Android operating system is composed of embedded Linux and Java virtualorganizations into, bringing a new open system solutions for embedded mobiledevices. With the development of the Android operating system for vehicle-mountedmobile monitoring terminal software, because free operating systems and software,cheaper mobile monitoring terminal. The same platform to overcome the formatproblem, function more diversified, more humane, more close to the consumer.Paper chooses Android operating system in many of the operating system as adevelopment platform for monitoring vehicle mobile terminals, to achieve a vehiclefor Android mobile users terminal system monitoring service. By using this system,the user terminal, you can get a series of important vehicle information throughmobile devices, and real-time monitoring of vehicles. This paper mainly do thefollowings: First, on the basis of analysis of vehicle movement monitoring technology,the mobile vehicle monitoring terminal combining with intelligent mobile terminal areanalyzed, and aiming at the shortcomings of the existing vehicle mobile monitoringterminal, puts forward the vehicle monitoring system based on Android platform with the wireless communication network, vehicle gateway, vehicle overall design schemeof combining the communication server. Second, through the study of the Androidoperating system, set up the Android development platform and complete the designof mobile monitoring terminal. Peculiar to the rational use of the Android interfacedesign more intuitive UI interface and the Android platform to provide all kinds ofAPI, we can realize the function of each component. The main functions of the mobilemonitoring terminal including electronic map service of real-time monitoring, vehicletracking, service vehicles historical trajectory playback, enclosures, alarm processingmodule, etc. Third, to achieve the map navigation. The GPS location information andvehicle status information is transferred to the car collection vehicle communicationsgateway server via GPRS network, the information stored by the database andforwarded to the mobile vehicle monitoring terminal, after the mobile monitoringterminal to get information, combined with maps provided Baidu map informationdisplay, visual monitoring of the vehicle to show the current status. Finally, throughthe telematics server’s database, vehicle movement studies and some key technologiesused in the communication process monitoring terminal communication protocolbetween the gateway and the car, and ultimately the Android mobile device users withcommunication between vehicles.In summary, the mobile terminal applications of this research has been developedby the Android platform comes with the test environment, the completion of theAndroid platform movement of the vehicle monitoring terminal functionalverification. The test results show that the monitoring terminal for vehicle control andreal-time monitoring of information and communication, to achieve the desired goalof this paper.
