Design And Implementation Of Campus Virtual Life Based On GIS

The Geographic Information System is developing rapidly in recent years,its application scope is also constantly expanding. With the development of hardware and software, as a part of Geographic Information System,Baidu map has been developing rapidly.Developers can use Baidu map API provides services to meet the development requirements of Geographic Information System.Based on Baidu map API development has been rapidly gaining popularity.The virtual campus is one of the application of Geographic Information System has been rapid development and digital campus become the recent research hotspot.The virtual campus provides users with intuitive and comprehensive campus geographic information and brings convenience for the campus teachers and students learning and life.Many colleges and universities have developed a virtual campus system of their own,but the system is mainly realized in PC.Meanwhile the computer is usually fixed.Users can not query,browsing and retrieval at any time,limiting the user access to timely,good interactive experience.In addition,the virtual campus of various colleges and universities is mainly displayed overall information campus map and various buildings on virtual campus,the campus buildings within the club information,lecture information,snack information and parking information etc. is not displayed to the user.It makees the virtual campus system only display the campus instead of helping inhance students learning and life.Based on GIS this is a virtual campus system in the mobile phone on the Android platform.It combine the Baidu map with mobile phone client,based on Beijing Jiaotong University.It overcomes the space time constraints and improves the the efficiency.At the same time,virtual campus system join building information,parking information, tourism information with GIS and provide related service for student.The system not only based on Baidu map and mobile phone display its function,but also is convenient for students in using it to obtain related services.It is important for students to refer to their campus life.This paper first introduces the concept of virtual campus and geographic information system,the system of Android and electronic map and Baidu map.The second describes and analyse on campus life requirements of the system.Based on Baidu map API it is proposed to solve the system requirements of campus life.At the end of the implementation of the system,including the display of the virtual campus campus of building information and providing students related service.
