Automatic meteorological station is applied to provide the meteorological observation. Data acquisition is the core function of automatic meteorological station, and it need sufficient power to ensure the normal work of data acquisition unit. Automatic meteorological station usually applied 12V rechargeable battery for DC power supply, and solar energy is charged into the battery is charged through controllers.Currently, for the low charging efficiency and power system security and reliability of automatic meteorological station, an intelligent control system, which enables large capacity lithium polymer battery to charge safely, quickly, efficiently and to implement monitoring, an intelligent control system is proposed in this thesis.The system consists of solar photo-voltaic battery, large capacity lithium polymer battery, intelligent controller, upper computer software. First of all, the principle of solar cell is introduced, and after modeling, simulation and comparison with solar energy maximum power point tracking algorithm, in this control circuit, a high performance lithium polymer battery charging strategy is provided. Then the overall design method of the control system is provided. Hardware circuit consists of DC-DC circuit, main control circuit, charging protection circuit,data acquisition circuit and ZigBee wireless data transmission circuit, while software part includes controller software design and upper computer software design. Controller software design includes MCU main program, charging control program, digital potentiometer control program and communication program, and upper computer software is applied to achieve data storage, fault detection and analysis of power supply.In the end, through the simulation and comparison of test data, experimental results have been analyzed. Experiment result show that the system can make full use of solar energy, adjust battery charging strategy in time, shorten charging time. What’s more, it has the characteristics of information storage, real-time monitoring and display, alarming to ensure the normal operation of automatic meteorological station in bad weather conditions.
