| Experimental teaching is a crucial practical aspect in personnel training in university, which plays an indispensable role in training students’ abilities. Nowadays, experimental teaching and laboratory construction in higher school has become an important base for scientific development, knowledge innovation and personnel training.However, due to devices over-reliance on the server computing power and network bandwidth, multimedia experience performance is poor in centralized system. And every laboratory is independent in geography and management to get best performance. Using computers, it causes chaotic management, high construction and maintenance costs, and then it results in a waste of resources.Compared with the traditional experimental teaching, a new platform based on cloud computing is developed to promote full sharing and deep integrated of high-quality resources, to improve the quality of experimental teaching and explore a new model of personnel training in experimental teaching. The core of proposed virtual experiment teaching platform makes full use of cloud computing and virtualization technology, building a virtual experiment teaching management and resource sharing cloud platform, to meet the requirement of experimental teaching. The platform provides a comprehensive, multi-angle virtual experiment teaching functions. It includes network bench appointment, experimental intelligent guidance, bench power management, device management, and other management-related laboratory auxiliary functions. Thin-client-based cloud computing platform system, which uses RDP 8.0 protocol for video compression and transmission as well as local decoding, reduces the burden on the network, and this makes up for the deficiencies in multimedia applications. Besides that, it allows users via the "cloud" to experience unprecedented computing power. Students could choose experiment content, time period and book laboratory bench by logging on laboratory website, then enter the lab by student card. In this platform, we control experimental bench power supply by wireless, that is, students could power on the laboratory bench which have been booked by his student card.According to the results, compared with traditional laboratory management system, the system can significantly improve the experimental teaching quality and efficiency. The system will play an important role in the experimental teaching and management in the universities. |
