The publishing of literary best-sellers has gained much attention, and it is also a controversial phenomenon. From the perspective of publishing, best-sellers holds an important position in creating profits and activate the industry. Therefore publishers’ enthusiasm about best-sellers does not fade. From the perspective of literary writing, the best-sellers not only expand the influence of literature, but also give multiple aesthetic visions for writers and readers.The publishing and communication of books are always with strong characteristics of the times, and in different technology environments, they also have different characteristics. After oral transmission and printing civilization, the development of digital technology and the electronic media has declared the advent of new publishing era. In order to explore the new face of literary publishing under the technical background, more importantly, to clarify the relationship and competition between the traditional publishing and new forms of publishing. I choose literary bestsellers as object, and the analysis focuses on the production and communication of best-sellers in the context of digital publishing.Book’s production mechanism is made up of specific links and steps, and therefore this article refers to the general flow of literary writing and publishing activities to expand demonstration. Planning books’ topics is the initial step of publishing. Thanks to the rise of rich network literature resource, literature publishing generates new vigor and vitality. At the same time, the reconstruction of classic works has not stopped, and in this chapter, two modes are summed up to elaborate the prosperity of genres of literature and the inheritance and development of new literary classic works. Content production in the digital age is the most important part, and it is closely related to the concept of literature consumption in the new era. Nowadays, literature publishing contacts more closely with film, animation and other cultural industries increasingly. The third chapter will mainly explore content production of best-sellers, especially the status and general trend of publishing industry chain of literary texts. Communication is the necessary step for best-sellers’ circulation, and electronic media channels not only expand and enrich the communication of literary works, but also profoundly change the readers’ consumption habits. In fifth chapter, combining with the current main issues and channels of literary bestsellers, and the direct impact of electronic media on literature distribution and consumption, extract the four communication strategies.
