| With the development of economy and the improvement of people’s lives, people are caring more about their health and they are not satisfied with the knowledge they got about health. Driven by the continuous development of mobile Internet technology, these two concepts formed a new concept called mHealth (mobile health). MHealth (or mobile health), defined by WHO, means medical and public health practice supported by mobile devices, such as mobile phones, patient monitoring devices, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and other wireless devices. There are some applications of mHealth in China now, which still faces a lack of well-designed mobile health care systems for the elderly because of the fact that China is entering an aging society now. Over the past few years, a large number of papers and researches have confirmed the strong correlations between grip strength and health.Based on these facts, this paper combines the shortcomings of common dynamometers and equipments and the concept of mHealth, and form a system which has a multichannel data acquisition module, an application on mobile platform and a server to save and analyze grip strength data.This paper summarizes current researches on the relations between grip strength and human health, and explains the design and realization of hardware and software modules, as well as key technologies such as BLE communication, Web Services, etc. Finally, it shows the realization of the system, and analyzes the shortcomings and its prospects. |
