Aiming to the actual situation of updating and upgrading of the beverage production line in Hangzhou Wahaha Group, this paper develops a controlling system for palletizing line, whose control core is Siemens S7-300 series programmable logic controller. This paper has completed the following tasks.1. Palletizing line control system design. Firstly, this paper analyzes the system functional requirements and technical requirements. And then, the overall plan of the control system is designed on this basis. Moreover, the system is divided into three subsystems, named as arrange control, salver control and touch screen control. Finally, it is the overall architecture of control system that is designed.2. Hardware design of the palletizing line control system. Firstly, the system hardware is selected with Siemens S7-300 PLC as the control center, CPU315-2PN/ DP as processor, SM321 DI32× DC24 V as input module, SM322 DO32× DC24 V as output module. Then an address is assigned to input and output signals for the control system, and the input and output interface circuits are designed. The industrial ethernet communication between PLC and touch screen is achieved by setting the control system communication. Finally, design of the safety loop for control system is completed.3. Software design of palletizing line control system. Software of the control system includes PLC software and HMI. PLC software is written by Siemens PLC programming tool STEP7. Besides, structured programming design method for each module of the control system are respectively designed in detail. The design of HMI is adopted by Siemens configuration software Win CC flexible, and what’s more, the system achieves the goal to control and monitor itself through configuring each operating screen of the system. At last, it can be proved that software of the control system could meet all control requirements by checking and debugging PLC and HMI software program in co-simulation mode.4. On-site commissioning of the control systems. The current production line whose production rate is of 30 cases per minute can be a good match to palletizing robot to complete the palletizing tasks. MBTF are more than 1000 hours, which is obtained by workstation long trial run.This paper provides enterprises with a stable, efficient and cost-effective solution, which achieves the purposes that improving the degree of automation, reducing labor intensity, as well as saving the cost of human resources.
