With the development of national economy, the constantly expanding of the city scale and the increasing demand of water resource of people, there is also an increasing number of booster pump station. The traditional tap water pump station monitoring and controlling system is unable to meet the current needs due to its old facilities, low level of automation.The theses of engineering master is about the design of the remote monitoring system which used on 5 pump stations. The main work includes several parts, the first part introduces the design principles and function requirements of tap water pumping station remote monitoring system. This system consists of three parts in the structure: field data collection, host computer monitoring and data communication. Then according to what talked above it is time to choose the part of hardware, so in this system Siemens S7-200 PLC is designed as the control unit, and through frequency converter the pump unit can realize smooth process of start-stop. Of course, the field data and information collected through acquisition unit are uniformly received by PLC and then transmitted to the host computer monitoring center. Also, the equipment of data acquisition and the transmission medium of signal are determined in this part. The next part is the achievement of pump station video monitoring through waterproof, infrared cameras and video server. The host computer and the slave computer are connected by Ethernet, which can make the system transmit the data far more efficiently and reliably. Giving full consideration of the interference factors, caused by the environment, which may do harm to data transmission, the system takes some kinds of anti-interference measures. At last, this system adopts FameView configuration software to monitor the pump stations, which not only realizes the design of the main monitoring interface to make the system display the real-time field data and the monitoring information of video but also realizes the function of remote monitoring and control.The monitoring control system integrates many aspects of different technologies,such as automation control,communication and software development.Combining the engineering practice,it realizes the remote distributed control of five booster pump stations.The system’s superiority on the level of automation control is very significant.It basically meets the current control demands of tap water pump station monitoring system so that it has broad application prospects.
