In relation to security, privacy, military and other places, there will always be some requirement to the positon of person. In recent years, people’s wireless location technology has gained more and more attention, and gradually used in a variety of positioning applications. Therefore, in-depth analysis and study of wireless location technology, has positive and practical significance.In this paper, based on the background of the actual project of personnel positioning in the office building, by understanding the current situation of indoor positioning technology wireless network at home and abroad, analysis and comparison of several common wireless network positioning technology, ZigBee technology is chosen as the hardware platform,combined with project requirements, we design personnel positioning system based on ZigBee. The system can be positioned within the office staff, and real-time location tracking.Through in-depth research paper on the ZigBee protocol, combine with the actual needs of the project, we put forward the overall design scheme of the system, and describe the system hardware platform. The system uses TI’s CC2530 chip as the main chip, the paper base systems respectively, the reference locator and hardware circuit design of mobile terminals introduced in detail. By analyzing and comparing several common localization algorithm based on distance and non-ranging, in view of the influence of walls and other obstacles on the localization algorithm, we propose a localization algorithm of scene fingerprint matching program. The program establishes the scene fingerprint information database through the pre-acquisition location information in the scene, while online location, it fixes position through the real-time positioning system location data with the fingerprint repository comparison approach.Based on the scheme of the system hardware and software design,software introduces the Z-Stack protocol stack migration and development of this system,according to the system localization process,we complete the program design of each node. In addition, we highlight PC monitoring software design, including the development environment, as well as offline and online two-stage PC program. Finally, we set up a test environment using the system positioning test,and the results are analyzed. By analyzing the changes of RSSI in Matlab, we improve the fingerprint database further.
