With the rapid development of China’s cable undertakings, China has become the world’s largest cable subscribers country. With the popularity of cable, the security of TV room has become increasingly important. Currently room equipment problems often can not be solved in time, causing the user can not normally watch TV, and even lead to disaster.The purpose of this study is to use embedded system to realize an easy to build, easy to configure, good versatility, and can be used for real-time monitoring of remote monitoring system, can let the client through the browser interface. This paper uses B/S structure, simplify the development, maintenance and use of the system. System is divided into the following several parts: embedded Linux platforms, video server, the embedded Web server and the client. This paper analyzes the remote monitoring system of the overall structure of software and hardware. Systems based on S3C2440 A processor and used Linux operating system as the software platform. System transplant the video server and a Web server, configure the USB camera driver and sensor driver is designed.This paper introduces the hardware structure and software structure of system. The hardware circuit consists of power module, reset circuit, Flash, SDRAM, JTAG, DM9000 AE, UART, USB and GPIO. System software platform is mainly divided into three parts: transplantation of the u-boot, Linux2.6.32.2 kernel and installation and configuration of yaffs2.In order to realize the remote monitoring, it focuses on the process of the Boa server’s configuration and transplantation and technology of video transmission with MJPG-streamer. The video transmission with MJPG-streamer is a novel method, compared with the traditional technology, it reduces the memory of the CPU usage rate, shortens the time of processing of video data and improves the speed transmission of video data. Design the web monitoring applications, the system functions in the form of pages to dynamic pages displayed on the client browser, dynamic web pages using HTML language embedded Javascript CGI script is called production made. Finally, after tested, scheme which was proposed in this topic basically realized the function of presupposition.
