The Temporary Exhibition In The Museums

As the supplement and enrichment of the basic displays in the museums, temporary exhibition plays important role in the development of contemporary museums.Based on the history of the temporary exhibitions and taking the exhibition "Wen Xin Qing Yuan----The Fine Art of Folding Fan With Popular Taste" in Hangzhou Arts and Crafts Museum as the example, the temporary exhibition was analyzed and discussed in this paper. "Wen Xin Qing Yuan" is a temporary exhibition in the museum with its own collections. It is noted that the planning of temporary exhibition is a whole systematic process with four indispensable parts:the determination of the theme, exhibition design, publicity and education and evaluation feedback.As the extension of the temporary exhibitions with museum’s own collections, in the exhibition exchange, the security problem is the primary concern.And the exchange is very important for the museums and society.At present, most of the studies about the temporary exhibitions are theoretical, lacking case studies.In this paper, a case study was performed to provide guidance for the construction of theory and practice in the temporary exhibitions.
