In the 21st century, the global information process has made significant progress. Human life benefits greatly from the ever-expanding growth in the field of information technology. However, during the process of informatization, every nation has been faced with new challenges in the area of information security. National information security plays an important role in the maintenance of national security. At the same time, national information security has great influenced the construction of comprehensive national strength and international relations.How can national information security be effectively safeguarded? The advent of the era of big data brought to the world the dawn of the new technology revolution; and what is more, big data also has acted as a new tool to safeguard national information security. Many countries are using big data to construct their own national information security, so, how can big data be used to help construct the national information security?In this paper, I used non-traditional security theory, public diplomacy theory, information war theory, comprehensive national strength theory and big data technology to analyze the mechanism of the construction of national information security in China and America, and all of this from the perspective of international relations. Then, this paper moves to a discussion about how national information security influences Sino-American relations. The comparative study of the development of the big data in China and the United States has also exposed the shortcomings of China. Based on the analysis of the American case, I conclude with some actionable policy suggestions for China.
