Gradually opening the market today, the trend of traditional power design enterprises diversified development presents a part of the medium-sized engineering company institute has set its own strategic vision, the total project contracting business has gradually become an important business model, and maintained higher growth rates, the total project contracting business has become most industrial design-oriented enterprises with core business pillars. In order to meet the requirement of target corporate transform and upgrade, we have built an all-level, multi-role and multi-project information management system. This system copes with basic corporate business requirements and covers nine major areas of project management: scope management, time management, cost management, quality management, risk management, human resources management, communication management, procurement management and systems management. It also emphasizes the five main processes in project life cycle: initiating, planning, implementation, execution, and closing-out. The system standardizes corporate project operation and delivers results and performance metrics to all level managers in a timely and precisely way. Based on the information accumulated in the system, it refines a corporate project management experience base.Through analyzing demand for each business line of the client, we have designed a data base structure and business object module which meet all client requirements, as well as the system architecture. By studying classic theory and researching cutting-edge technology in software industry, we have ensured that our system is not only recognized by our client as safe, efficient and user friendly but also in a leading position among peering software. Key techniques such distributed server, full-text research, and lazyload, have been applied in this research.During the development our team adopted MVC coding. We distributed the workload in three parts, respectively business logic, data, and frontend interface. This distribution greatly increased our research and development efficiency and as a result granted us abundant time for system debugging and testing. After professional tester and user trials our target client corporate project information management system has been successfully launched online. At present, managers at all levels are using different modules to perform their business. The process among all modules can work not only independently but also jointly though project planning and coordinating. We have delivered a dual-network-structure of both centralized and distributed deployment, which meets the demand from two-level management system for both headquarter and branch offices. Our research team has improved our knowledge and skills in software engineering. Beyond the large amount of information we obtained, we have taken our understanding of development and current trends in software industry to a whole a new level.
