In recent years, as the rapid development of computer-aided design(CAD) technology of microwave vacuum, microwave vacuum tube device performance has also been greatly improved. Under the guide of the research group “Simulation and achievement about high frequency system of helix traveling wave tube", we use three-dimensional simulation software to simulate and optimized helix TWT traveling energy systems and high-frequency beam-wave interaction system, which based on our industry-based multi-date textbooks and literature home and abroad.1. We have studied for traveling energy systems using three-dimensional simulation software CST in this paper. There is a brief introduction before the simulation. We have analyzed three of the software solution methodand written a code combined with the definition of the characteristic impedance of the transmission line for analysis of standing wave.High-frequency wave interaction system in this paper is simulated with MTSS which is developed bythe university of electronic science and technology.The development of software is mainly for traveling wave tube.MTSS is notonly easy to use, and has high precision.Therefore, the software architecture and the simulator are introducted.2.We have researched for the traveling energy systems inthe broadband helix traveling wave tube. Based on wave energy pipeline theory, combined with a mature foreign TH3968 spiral traveling energy system traveling wave tube,we use three-dimensional simulation software CST to design and optimize a kind of new compact lose energy structure which has smaller standing waves and simpler structure. By tubing verification, the simulation results and experimental results are basically the same, and a full band VSWR of about 1.5.It meets the broadband helix traveling wave tube needs.3. Studying for the high-frequency beam-wave interaction structure of the space helix TWT. After studying the various design parameters of wave interaction and methods on how to improve the efficiency of wave interaction, combining with the latest literatures articles, we designed a space independent TWT beam-wave interaction structure, and used three-dimensional simulation software MTSS to simulate and optimization several times. We have tubed using the best optimization results.The Measured results and the simulation results are basically the same, and meets the reaching development requirements.Moreover, wealso has done work on the nonlinear index of the space TWT in the paper, also achieved good results.4. In this paper, the two key technologies of helix TWT were studied by using two kinds of three dimensional simulation software.Experiments show, simulation the traveling wave tube structure using three-dimensional simulation software is a apace, effectively means, and the experimental results and the calculated results are basically consistent.We can not only greatly shorten the development period of TWT and also can reduce the development cost using CAD technology design TWT.
