The Internet of Things(IOT) technology has been widely used in many fields of modem society, such as transportation, logistics, industrial control and so on. It is developing rapidly for its vast application potential. At the same time, Radio frequency identification(RFID) technology which is widely regard as the core technology of IOT, is getting an unprecedented developing opportunity. Currently, from a domestic perspective, the low-frequency and high-frequency RFID technology is relatively mature, it is gradually occupied the mainstream RFID market with its wide range of application scenarios. Compared with the previous two, UHF RFID has larger development potential for its further identification distance, faster recognition speed, and greater anti-collision capability. UHF RFID has been gradually applied in many areas like Supply Chain Management, Intelligent Transportation, Modern Medical Wisdom and Wisdom of Agriculture. However, the current research and application of UHF RFID technology is lagging behind, to form a completed industry chain still has a long way to go. Currently on the market there have been some IOT terminal products with UHF RFID feature, but most are with single function and cannot fully meet the needs of the current market. In this background, to design a set of handheld IOT terminal integrated with UHF RFID, barcode recognition and sensor information acquisition function, is of great scientific and economic value.At first, this thesis briefly introduced the basic concept and architecture of the IOT, analysis of the development status at home and abroad, the application mode of the handheld IOT terminal, and the mainly work and content arrangement.Secondly, the demand analysis and overall architecture design, including system hardware, software architecture and terminal operating system selection.Thirdly, introduces the migration and development of Windows CE OS, including the migration and development of the boot loader, and the implementation of the functions that are closely related to the BSP.Then, the implementation of the device driver and GUI programs of the barcode function module, sensor module and UHF RFID module based on the Windows CE platform. On the basis of the functional requirements, the comprehensive application and PC programs are designed.Finally, we setup system test platform for the test of all the function modules; analyze the test results, and summary outlook works.
