STB Advertising System Software Design And Implementation

Firstly, it introduces the history and current status of digital TV development at home and abroad, and it also describes the significance of set-top boxes and advertising system for digital TV business promotion. Secondly, it introductes the digital TV technology and standards related to this system, including DVB standard, MPEG2 standard, PSI / SI standards. Especially it makes a very detailed description of the table structure, segments, as well as the private segment, and this part is the key of the PSI / SI standards. Then, based on my understanding of digital TV technology and standards, the paper in-depth study the hardware and software level of the set-top box. And describe the function of the main hardware modules for the set-top box. Software part, firstly the paper describes the importance of the software layered, then details the function of the various software levels, make a detailed description of the principles of the subject realized advertising system. module partition of this system is described, which is based on data reception and analysis, task management, data storage and picture display. Relationships, functional roles and interface classification of every module in this system are also stated. Finally, how to achieve this advertising system is illustrated. and how to apply the system to achieve reception, update, storage and display of data is explained clearly. Some problems that found in system implement and testing are cited. The solutions are also given. At last, summary and outlook about the advertising system are made in this paper.The advertising system that designed in this subject has many characteristics.It just occupys a small FLASH space, it is stable and fast, and it can support playback at any time. This system has been recognized by many departments of radio and television. Meanwhile, this system has been integrated by some other set-top box manufacturers, such as Changhong,Nationalchip,Haier,Fujitsu,and so on.This system has high portability and high visibility.
