Along With the rapid development of electronic technology, people’s lives are filled with intelligent electronic products.In home networks, various of intelligent products need to exchange information frequently and automatically in order to satisfy people’s increasing life service needs and resources sharing.Therefore, a integrated home information platform - the digital home networks that fused a digital home control network and multimedia information network in digital home networks emerged as the times requiring.The digital home networks has become one of the mainstream development direction.But intelligent devices in different digital home networks cannot visit each other, which limit the control and diversification of intelligent products and services deeply.So,how to make multimedia communication in home networks across the firewall/NAT equipment and acquire intelligent services in different home networks has become one of the key problems in the development of digital home network.At present,there are various of standard organization that devoted to the research of the digital home network standards,for instance, ITU-T,ETSI,UPnP FORM,IGRS,DLNA and e jiajia.In which,UPnP forum is the most widely supported one.It uses the UPnP architecture which is an open-distributed network architecture that make full use of the TCP/IP and Web technologies.It is independent of the underlying network architecture, and has an great flexibility of networking.OSGi (Open Service Gateway Initiative) is a lightweight, loosely coupled, service oriented application development framework,which has modular, high cohesion and loosely coupled characteristics.It can solve the problems of reducing software development cycle, decreasing development cost, and improving the quality of code.In this paper, we study of UPnP protocol specification,working principle, and the OSGi specification and frame structure deeply.Then we propose an exchange visits model of different home networks based on UPnP protocol and OSGi framework.Finally, we design and implement a cross-border distributed resources shared system which include a client module and a server module according to the model.The client module is composed by a control module,a UPnP IGD module, and a network service module,which comply with the UPnP protocol specification, OSGi specification completely, and has a good compatibility.The server module running in a windows operating system, which as the nodes of the network, play the role of storage, processing of data and information of intelligent devices in the home networks for the purpose of visiting with each other.This paper describes the design details of the modules in detail and test the modules step by step.The design architecture is an hierarchy clear model.It provides a good solution to solve the problems of maintained and exchange visits of intelligent equipment services in different home networks,and make intelligent devices with control function to release services in the home network, and to acquire services provided by other intelligent devices from an remote home network. It realize diversification of intelligent device services.
