With the extensive application of optical fiber communication technology, more and more fiber optic lines need to maintain and fusion splicing. According to the requirement of high quality fiber fusion in the process of optical fiber fusion, optical fiber core need to high precision alignment. This topic will be developed the high-definition dual camera video alignment system for optical fiber fusion splicer.Firstly, briefly introduction for the background and significance of the subject, and then describes the present situation of fiber optical fusion splicer develop at home and abroad. This article focuses on the design of microscopic camera. At first, explore the microscopic camera’s design ideas and design process in the optical system design. Design a microscopy camera that optical magnification is 8 times, working distance is 13.4mm, conjugate distance is 85mm, which is optimized through the optical system design software Zemax, and then analysis and evaluation its optimization results. At last, process analysis for each element of the optical system. In the structural design, the main is mechanical design of microscopic camera, including mechanical assembly drawings design and mechanical element drawings design.Secondly, performance analysis of the optical system, respectively analysis optical system tolerance and ghost image using optical design software Zemax that comes with the system. In addition, simulation analysis imaging conditions of optical fiber amplified by the microscope objective. Finally, design a microscopic camera testing device combine with AutoCAD drawing software to achieve rapid test the image quality of microscope.
