| Evolved packet core is a mobile core network standardized the 3rd Generation Partnership Project to deploy the 4G services, and has been put into operation now. As the scale expanding of mobile Internet application, to make the mobile core network more flexible and to adapt to the user services more conveniently and quickly has became the key challenge of mobile network designers. The appearance of software defined network technology brings us a solution. It makes the network equipment on user plane can be generalized through the separation of control plane and user plane. The realization of EPC network architecture based on SDN can make resource management and network control ability more flexible. To introduce the SDN technology into the EPC is conducive to the further evolution of the network.This thesis focuses on the realization technology of EPC network architecture based on SDN, mainly on the establishment, modify and deletion of bearing in the new the network architecture. Firstly, we study the development process of EPC network, system architecture, networking and concept of bearing and the basic knowledge of OpenFlow, which is the main technology of SDN. After that, we introduce the key technology of the migration of EPC networks based on SDN, such as architecture, interface protocol, new network equipment. we also design northbound interface API and the relevant signaling flow. Then, we design and implement the prototype system of SGW-C and PGW-C on control plane, and put forward the use of network devices support OpenFlow as user plane equipment SGW-D and PGW-D. Finally, test case, test procedures and test results of SGW-C and PGW-C prototype system is introduced.The test results indicate that SGW-C and PGW-C on control plane implements the basic functions required in the EPC network architecture based on SDN, the research of this paper has some reference value for the further study of the evolution of the network. |
