4G MIMO technology as a key technology, because of its many advantages and is widely used. Multi-polarization MIMO technology further increases the spectral efficiency and freedom of the system compared to conventional MIMO technology, and greatly improves the channel capacity of the system. It is of great research value.Meanwhile, MIMO system is of poor performance because it cannot take advantage of multipath effects in the line-of-sight environment. Studies suggest that man-made relay node scattering body, which located between the transmitter and receiver system for generating multiple paths, MIMO technology can improve performance in line-of-sight environment.Through theoretical modeling, Matlab simulation and channel measurements on multi-polarization MIMO channel models and repeater improving MIMO channel, these two related topics were researched and measured. The main work is:(1)To discuss the modeling process and methods of SCM channel unipolar model and dual-polarized model. By using ideas and methods of modeling SCM, SCM channel model will be extended to three-dimensional channel model. A third direction of polarization is introduced, and a three-dimensional polarization channel model is designed. The model of the propagation parameters and channel capacity are simulated.(2)Describes the use of repeaters to improve the line-of-sight environment MIMO system performance. Try to model repeater-aided MIMO channel, and based on it simulate channel models joined different line-of-sight channel models.(3)In order to verify whether the repeater improved the performance of MIMO systems, field measurements are carried out. Respectively, in non-line-of-sight corridor scene, non-line-of-sight corridor to interior scene and the next line-of-sight scene in anechoic chamber, MIMO system channel are measured. The distance, angle and height variables are set, comprehensive verification of performance improvement of multi-polarization MIMO system is presented.
