When the circuit frequency of the circuit stays at the microwave or millimeter-wave band in the microwave passive integrated circuits, the port discontinuities which exist between the feeding lines and the exciting sources bring error terms. It is necessary to calibrate the error terms when its magnitude stays at the same order with the real response.Therefore, the purpose of this thesis is to make analysis of the error calibration of microwave circuit discontinuity and elimate the influence of the error terms to get more accurate network parameters of device under test.First, the models are built for simulations based on through-reflect-line calibration scheme. Then the numerical calibration techniques will be embedded in the electromagnetic simulation software. By running the script, we can get the discontinuity plane of the core of the circuit parameters.The other calibration method is short-open calibration which is based on previous calibration equations derived, and run the calibration procedure, thus obtainning the calibrated network parameters. At last, compare the two calibration methods with the reference results to optimize the design of structural discontinuities.In this thesis, four two-port microstrip discontinuity plane structures are choosed. For example, resonator, LPF, gap and SIW.The above two calibrating methods are used to calibrate these discontinuous structures. Then extend to the multi-port network discontinuities. Multiport calibration values can be realized through odd and even mode excitation and two-port calibration method. Thus we can verify the easibiy and versatily of calibration method on low frequency, thus it can greatly improve the design efficiency of the microwave circuit structures.
