| As one of the most common form of military ubiquitous network, large-scale dynamic network is a self-organization network, and there is no fixed communication network infrastructure within it; thousands of nodes’ moving frequently leads to the network topology changes frequently. As the number of nodes increases, the network signaling overhead will increase rapidly, and the submit success rate of packets will reduce greatly, these affect the network scalability directly. When a user node within the large-scale dynamic network or across the network, we need to trace the real-time location of the node, in order to find the node quickly and accurately when need to communicate with it.By introducing the location management technology, we can better solve the above problems: in large-scale dynamic network, the introduction of appropriate location management strategy, which with the help of the network logical partitions, physical stratification and reasonable location management database, can improve the performance of mobility management, reduce the network management costs effectively caused by the expansion of network and improve the success rate of communication. After analyzing the advantages and existing problems of the current location management technologies, we consider the application requirements of large-scale dynamic network and design a regional grid location management scheme based on geographical location. Firstly, we analyze that when the network size is large, the network performance with flat structure will be very poor, so we divide the large-scale dynamic network into two levels and put forward a two stage distributed location management server architecture to manage the nodes’ location information. Secondly, we design a link-state based topology formation and maintenance process, to achieve information interaction between nodes among one region or interregional, and data collection of each location server. Lastly, we design location update and query process in detail, which makes the node can updates its position real-time while moving, and can quickly and accurately find out the destination region of the node and the shortest path to the destination node. Finally, this thesis using OPNET network simulation software to build a simulation platform. We execute function verification and performance test of regional grid location management scheme based on geographical position, which is divided to three parts: the network topology form and maintenance, location registration and updating and location query scheme. We also compare its performance with existing location management scheme, and the results show that our scheme is more suitable for large-scale dynamic network. |
