| The twenty-first century is an information age with rapid development of satellite and mobile communication. The antenna which is the indispensible front-end device in communication systems, comes across unprecedented challenges. In order to obtain nicer wide beam-width and circular polarization in satellite and radar systems, we should design an array antenna which has wider lobe and nicer circular polarization performance. This thesis makes space-borne and radar antennas as the research background, and mainly discuss about the wide beam-width and circular polarization characteristics of micro-strip antennas. The thesis designs a broadband wide beam-width circular polarization micro-strip antenna based on the easy integration of micro-strip antennas and broad beam-width characteristics of cross dipole antennas, and analyzes its application in a small array. The thesis mainly includes:The first chapter introduces the research background and significance of the broad beam-width antennas, and its domestic and foreign research dynamic. At the same time, the thesis summarizes the relevant research of wide beam-width antennas in the recent years and shows the latest research of wide beam-width antennas. The thesis starts with the implementation method in combination with the recent references and introduces several methods to implement broad beam-width antennas.The second chapter mainly introduces three theory analysis methods of micro-strip antennas and relevant theories of circular polarization antenna and wide beam-width antennas. In addition, the article summarizes the methods of micro-strip antennas broad beam-width and circular polarization in recent literatures.The third chapter firstly introduces the wide beam-width principle of cross dipole antennas, and designs a cross micro-strip dipole antenna which works at Ku band on the theoretical basis. The design of broadband wide angle circular polarization micro-strip antennas unit which works for 12.5 to 15.5GHz is based on the working principle of micro-strip antenna and cross dipole antennas, and takes advantage of the multi-layer dielectric structure of micro-strip antennas. The 3dB beams of Eã€H directional diagram are all greater than 120 degree. At last the thesis analyzes the impact which main structural parameters of antenna has to property.The forth chapter brings in some basic theoretical knowledge of antenna array, and on the basis of it analyzes the radiation characteristic of cross micro-strip dipole antennas in the 2*2 and 8*8 square, and then studies the situation changes of radiation performance when the scanning angle adds to 60 degrees. At last the thesis makes physical processing of the 8*8 array antenna on the basis of the actual situation.The fifth chapter summarizes the whole thesis, and brings new requirements and expectation of further work aiming at the shortcomings of the thesis. |
