The rapid development of wireless communications industry is remarkable, it is all due to the users of wireless communications request higher requirements on the quality of wireless communication. In the systems of wireless communication, the transmission and reception of space radio signals rely on antenna. Therefore, the choice of the antenna will directly affect the quality of the entire operation of the wireless communication network.Dual-polarized micro-strip antenna not only has many advantages of the micro-strip antenna, such as simple structure, light weight, easily conformal and suitable combination of design, but also provides polarization diversity, slows down the decline of multipath receiving signal, cuts down the loss and interference, reduces the number of antennas, saves the investment to base station. In recent years, the dual-polarized technology has become a hot research topic in the areas of radar,positioning and communication systems and so on. But the difficulties and key points of designing dual-polarized micro-strip antenna are to improve the isolation between the two polarization ports, inhibit the cross-polarization and widen the bandwidth.This paper is based on describing the basic theory of dual-polarized micro-strip antenna, takes the improvement of the isolation between the two polarization ports as the target, studies on dual-polarized micro-strip antenna and its feeding circuit and arrays.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. On the basis of the basic principles of dual-polarized micro-strip antenna, it proposes the way of design micro-strip antenna, and has already designed the dual-polarized micro-strip antenna element that is suitable for working in 2.4 ~ 2.5GHz band. This element antenna adopts the air patches, the configuration of vertical dual-H shape of aperture-coupled, by measuring the effects on the antenna isolation from different spacing and size of the pore gets a good port isolation, which is better than-31 dB.2. On the basis of the principles of Wilkinson’s power divider and the way of parallel feed of the array antenna, it designed a micro-strip power divider that is divided into eight equal portions and used for feed network of base station arrayantennas.3. Use the dual-polarized micro-strip antenna element and the feeding circuit to make up a 1 * 8 uniform linear array base station antenna, and then make a physical test. The results show that the performance of high isolation dual-polarized base station antenna is good, it’s isolation is lower than-33 dB, and the other parameters are enough to meet the communication requirements. |
