With the maturity and wide application of GPS technology, and how the system will be introduced to the GPS Vessel Monitoring and Intelligent Mobility System,which allows real-time monitoring center for ship static and dynamic information to be kept informed and in control, to become a new area of research.This paper realized the ship GPS monitoring system is a versatile platform that can make full use of the advantages of the Internet to meet the various needs of an open platform. To make full use of the advantages of the Internet, in order to satisfy the demands of open platform, its management, monitoring, positioning, and a number of roles, such as query and alarm, communication can be shipping informationmanagement system of the relevant departments to provide comprehensive and efficient methods, in order to realize the intelligent water and land transportation. Based on this goal, the authors conducted a study of GPS-based vessel monitoring and dispatching systems.The main contents are as follows :By summing up the current issue of automatic monitoring and scheduling of ships present in the system, which made the demand analysis, mainly in water safety control,electronic aids to navigation and shipping management in three aspects. Combined with specific needs, the system is a framework and structure design, the system includes ::ship terminal and user terminal, database management subsystem, map management subsystem, communication subsystem, network subsystem application subsystem and monitoring subsystem.After the system architecture design is complete, the system has been achieved. In seven subsystems, ship terminal and user terminals for the hardware system, purchased from the market standard products to meet the requirements, map management subsystem to buy sophisticated electronic chart systems, communication subsystems using Unicom CDMA1 x communication, network management system using mature existing products. This study focused on database management subsystem, the application subsystem and control subsystem. By developing appropriate database structure to achieve the integration of electronic charts, GPS information, VTS information and other data, and to achieve the acceptance of GPS signal and data conversion, the output information in human-computer exchange of applicationsubsystems, data display, as well as real-time monitoring function monitoring subsystem.After the system is completed, the GPS receiver and display data were tested, then tested a variety of interactive features application subsystems, test results prove that fully meet the needs of users. Automatic monitoring system based on GPS technology in the process of moving the ship to meet the demand for real-time monitoring,interaction.
