At present, the LTE network has been rapid deployed and actually operating. As one of focus of operation and management technologies, network planning and optimization has become an importnat engineering issue. Aiming at practice applications, this thesis analyzes in general the LTE network system achitecture, key technologies, and network planning and optimization method. A LTE network of local carrier is also taken into research in network construction and optimization late on.This Thesis has made a systemic analysis of the LTE network achitecture and key technologies, including the OFDM modulation, MIMO multi-antenna and SON more networking, etc. This Thesis focuses on the network scale estimation in the planning process, including space coverage and capacity planning, and develops a thorough analysis of the process of the LTE wireless network optimization, optimization characteristics and optimization content. It also gives the specific parameters of planning objectives, design conditions and evalution method of TAC, PCI and PRACH.In order to optimize by simulation of local telecommunications FDD LTE, the thesis presents in detail main steps of simulation. Subject to the technical constraints, several rounds of optimization and adjustment are carried out on the base-station site and radio frequency distribution. The final design results by means of simulations and optimization meet well the requirements of application technologic objectives.
