Design And Realization Of VDI-based Virtual Desktop

With the growth of Cloud Computing technology, server-based desktop cloud computing technology can lead the business out of the upgrade trap, and reduce costs. While improving the efficiency, network utilization and security, and to make a quicker response in the dynamic global market, virtual desktop is a more efficient way to manage resources on traditional endpoints.The thesis studies virtual desktop deployments, proposes key problems to design VDI-based virtual desktop, categorizes the virtual desktop users according to user habits and demands on computing resources, meanwhile introduces the overall architecture of virtual desktop, elaborates logical structure and functional structure of overall architecture, and conducts detailed design of architecture, database structure and function structure. Then it gives the implementation method of virtual desktop in respects of virtual desktop, system reliability and security. Regarding if the system deployment reaches the expectation, it performs system analysis and testing in 5 dimensions- user experience, host performance, client performance, management services and the availability. It was easily proven that Cloud Computing-based virtual desktop can reduce IT cost by increasing business efficiency, flexibility and IT responding, and also can enhance the competitive edge of enterprises.
