As embedded technology device is of small size, compacted structure and high performance, it has received much attention in the IT society. Because of its excellent properties, embedded technology has been applied in various areas.Under the background of technology integration, this thesis proposes a project named embedded Linux wireless communication system based on the characteristics of the embedded technology and its future develop trend. This wireless communication system combines embedded technology and wireless communication technology. At the same time, the design process is offered base on the analysis of basic development process and the software and hardware development platform of the embedded technology, including the design of the hardware development platform, the design of the software development pl atform and the design of application.In terms of hardware development platform, this thesis selects the ARM series S3C2440 microprocessor as the core hardware. After accomplishing the circuit designs of the hardware module, such as the microprocessor, the external memory, the LCD touch screen, the USB wireless network card, the LED lamp and so on, the construction of the system hardware development platform is completed. This hardware platform can not only meets the basic requirement of the system, but als o has a good expansibility.In the aspect of software development platform, this thesis selects the Linux operating system as the core of software. The construction of system software development platform is finished after transplanting the Linux operating system to the hardware development platform. This transplantation mainly includes the transplantation of Boot Loader bootstrap, the Linux kernel and the root file system. This software platform can run the Linux operating system successfully, and build s a real foundation for the design of the application. The most important point is the transplantation of the driver of the USB wireless network card. After driving the equipment successfully, this device can provide signal transmission medium for the wireless communication system.In order to verify the feasibility of the software and hardware development platform, this thesis finishes the design of the application named Wi-Fi controls LED under the development environment of Qt. This application can realize the function of transmitting the LED lamp control instructions based on the Wi-Fi wireless transmission technology. After tested and through the practical application, this wireless communication system can realize the function of wireless transmission.
