Based on IP bearing characteristics, IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) is the core of 3GPP/3GPP2 and ISPAN/IUT-T network architecture. By providing a open network framework, IMS provides a solution to the convergence of mobile network and fixed network, is a important way to bring in distinct service like voice, data and video fusion and plays a key role in the evolution of core network to the unified network. As far as China Mobile is concerned, CM-IMS will provide it with an end to end solutions for broadband multimedia services, more advanced and more effective technical means to expand group, family and individual user market; furthermore, CM-IMS will also create a unified converged core network architecture to realize unified control of mobile and fixed network, reduce construction and maintenance costs of China Mobile’s core network, which will help China Mobile to maintain its competitive edge in its entire business operations.How to make full use of China Mobile’s current mature data bearer network advantages of CMNET and IP private network, realize the docking solution for CM-IMS,CMNET and IP private network, solve CM-IMS core networking element’s access bearing and users access issues, would be the key to forge a unified core network architecture.From CMS-IMS bearer network planning point of view, this paper puts forward a docking solution for CM-IMS, CMNET and IP private network, which is based on Guangdong Mobile’s CM-IMS core network element setting and the current status of data bearer network. Subsequently, it gives a detailed analysis of CM-IMS bearer network’s reliability based on the data flow model of site failure in different scenarios and provides technical reserves and experience for subsequent CM-IMS user access and fault location.Finally, this paper proposes an access solution for CM-IMS’s early commercial voice line, technical means for the migration from traditional voice line to CM-IMS and a viable technical solution for the subsequent CM-IMS large-scale user access, all of which will further enhance the product quality of the current network and customer’s perceived level.
