With the increasing development of control technology of China’s thermal power plant, the subsidiary production workshop of power plant gradually combines with host control system and upgrades as the control system of the whole plant. So far, most of the coal handling systems of thermal power plant have adopted a production system independent from the host system. The data of production system is needed for manual arrangement before reporting to relevant departments. Information of systems will not be shared together, and personnel are needed to control the work flow manually. With the constant development of automatic program control technology in DCS system, DCS system is now qualified to apply into the coal conveying control system of power plant, so as to complete conveying automatic control and effectively improve the system generation efficiency; through the host system and other subsidiary production system, this system will carry out effective information sharing, break up the data island of enterprise business system, so as to construct a network-based management of the whole plant.This topic first analyzes the background of coal handling system built by Huaneng Linyi Power Plant and the development status of DCS system. Then, it makes a brief introduction on system development environment, software technology and platform; analyzes the production business process of coal handling programmed control system; and sets up the function and target of systematic design. Through analyzing the equipment of system I/O measuring point, the list of I/O measuring point is arranged to complete relevant analysis required in the system implementation.Due to the technological closure of DCS system, the software system can only be operated in the corresponding hardware system. For the purpose of complete discussion, essential discussion is also conducted on the hardware and network structure related to DCS system according to the agricultural design of DCS system. Based on the system hardware and network platform being established, and according to the actual business demand, DCS software architecture is designed, and coal handling programmed control system is set up on the DCS development platform. Based on I/O measuring point list, a DCS database is established. Supported by AutoThink configuration software platform, CFC programming language is applied to carry out logical configuration design and implementation on coal handling and coal blending; and the monitoring function and management function of DCS system is designed and implemented on the general control software platform.The automatic control of coal handling programmed control system of Huaneng Linyi Power Plant has fully embodied the current technology of DCS system and completely improved the working efficiency of the factory. With the improvement of degree of automatic control of thermal power industry, as well as the in-depth application of DCS software technology in power generation industry, the automation of thermal power generation is launching a revolution on automatic control, which has become the mainstream of automatic control of large-scale thermal power generation.
