With the rapid development of technology of the internet of things, low-power wireless sensor networks has become a hot topic. How to replace the battery power with low power devices for energy harvesting is catching more and more attention. In this letter, we research on the antipodal Vivaldi antenna, and then design and implement an antenna array of wide-band broadband, high gain, high directivity and other characteristics for energy harvesting. The band of antenna covering 2.17-4.49 GHz, and gain achieves 10 d B, for harvest wireless energy of WLAN / WIFI in 2.17GHz-4.49 GHz frequency band and other low-input power. The array antenna using two identical antipodal Vivaldi antenna units as a main receiving unit with a 3d B Wilkinson power divider, and together with metal walls around the antenna used to increase gain of the antenna.Finally, the energy conversion circuit is connected to achieve a complete energy harvesting capabilities.Paper is organized as follows:The first chapter is the introduction.We analyze domestic and foreign status of the energy harvesting antenna and related technologies,and introduce the background and significance of the paper,and then brief three-dimensional full-wave electromagnetic simulation software HFSS and designing process.The second chapter is design of antipodal antenna.We discuss on basic theory and design methods of the antipodal Vivaldi antenna based on the introduction of the antenna radiation theory.Then we design a wide-band antipodal Vivaldi antenna by software HFSS,and simulate and optimize key variables of the antenna.Finally,we get antipodal Vivaldi antenna meet the requirements and its reflection coefficient S11, three-dimensional gain, input impedance, current distribution and other feature parameters.The third chapter is design and research of antipodal Vivaldi antenna array.First,we introduce the theory of array antenna,and then design a 3d B Wilkinson power divider used to array two antipodal Vivaldi antennas.Next,on the basis of the array antenna,we design metal-walls around antennas for improving gain and directionality,and study the influence of the metal-walls of the array antenna in detail.Finally we get a optimized antipodal Vivaldi antenna array.The fourth chapter is physical production and test analysis.On the basis of the front design,we carry out production and measurement of array antenna,and then really use array antenna designed to harvest energy of WLAN / Wi Fi wireless router. The actual measured result shows that th performance of duble antipodal Vivaldi array antenna can meet requirements of wireless energy harvesting,and proves that utilization of energy of wireless router is possible.The final chapter is the summary and outlook of the letter.
