The Research Of Campus Monitoring Network Design And Related Technology

The security of primary schools and middle schools has been drawing more and more attention of the public. It is highly important to build a formal campus security monitor system for the purpose of strengthening the campus security, protecting professors’ and students’ properties and lives, improving the precaution ability as well as avoiding the emergent group incidents.This thesis is a preliminary research of the theory and practice related to the multimedia and network programming, which give a special concern of the TCP/IP, RTP, P2P technology, VLC protocol, DHCP protocol and their importance in network programming.The author conducted the overall design and developed diverse possibilities of the campus network monitor on the basis of studying the B/S construction which often used in the monitor system and analyzing the requirement of the monitor system, such as:professional monitoring camera or intelligent domestic camera could be both used as front-end equipment and central server, mobile phone or tablet PC could be both used as back-end equipment. Meanwhile, the author also gave some improvement suggestions by analyzing the technique of diverse deliver strategies of this system.In the implementation of system, the author used the VLC protocol to realize the mobile video surveillance by computer. Moreover, the Little-ant camera is used to provide an affordable and convenience way for the clients to conduct a long-distance video-monitoring. Digital transmission and network intelligence can be centralized, flexible and convenient by using smart mobile phones for remote video surveillance. And it can solve the problem of many universities which is short of funds and labors. Thousands yuan will be enough to install a adaptable mobile phone or tablet PC monitor at the entrances, canteens, dormitories, teaching areas and other zones of the campus which has the same effect of large scale monitoring equipments. Along with the development of technologies, popular monitoring equipment would have a better future.
