Smart Card is a lightweight carrier for information saved out of host terminal, in this carrier, information’s dealing out of the open Internet environment, so it’s widely applied in market such as e-commerce.COS.Chip operation System provides information a entry into Smart Card. The old COS,providing for a fixed e-commerce business, used in the narrow application.The paper provides a detail analysis for COS according the currunt business and it focuses on extracting and divising feature points.Then it providing a profile design through Hardware architecture and Software architecture.The Hardware architecture explains the architecture of memory and memory feature in performance. Based on the various functional modules of software, system has carried on the detailed design. The functions of some important modules implement the process and key points. Smart card operation system uses the technology of embedded development. Its command organizes according th rule of APDU(Application protocol data unit) writtern in ISO7816.The author’s work througnout the project involed the whole process including requirement analysis,system design,the popularization and applying it to the market.The author completed works of the following function modules:communication mode in comm modules,explanation component,user definication record data,safety management component,PATCH and data RESTORE/BACKUP.At present,there have some service used this COS as the back-end information processing platform and it get a respectful response.This COS is stable and support multiple business.It reduce the life-cycle of expanding new business and reducing the development delay.Finally,It get the user’s positive feedback.
