Research And Development Of Spectrum And Protocol Processing Software In Digital Radio Monitor

Digital radio monitor is used to monitor the analog radio and digital radio, records signalling services, data services and voice services of the monitored system, and has the perfect functions of the monitoring data showing and managing. Spectrum and protocol processing software in digital radio monitor implements the functions of spectrum processing, protocol data decoding and voice data decoding. Therefore, spectrum and protocol processing software is an important part in the digital radio monitor.First of all, the development situation of the monitors for kinds of wireless communication systems at home and abroad are summarized in this paper. Based on analying the structure of digital radio monitor, the structrue of the software for spectrum and protocol processing in the digital radio monitor, DMR frame structure and the main PDUs are described. Then, the processing procedure of interrupt module, control information receiving module, decoding and protocol processing module, spectrum processing module and data transmition module are designed according to the key technologies of digital radio spectrum processing and the DMR protocol data decoding. Next, interrupt module, control information receiving module, decoding and protocol processing module, spectrum processing module, and data transmition module are developed by the C programming language on the TMS320C6748 DSP platform which is based on the embedded SYS/BIOS operating system, in order to implement the functions of fixed freguency scan, panoramic scan, DMR voice processing, FM voice processing and DMR protocol data processing. Finally, according to the theory of the black box, the spectrum processing module and the decoding and protocol processing module of the software for spectrum and protocol processing in digital radio monitor are tested. The results of tests show that, the functions implemented by spectrum and protocol processing software, such as fixed freguency scan, panoramic scan, DMR voice processing, FM voice processing and DMR protocol data processing, can satisfy the demands of users.
