DisplayPort is a kind of high-speed differential signal transmission standards, which is mainly used for high definition video signal transmission. It was published by the Video Electronics Standards Association in May 2006. DisplayPort is developing very rapidly in recent years, winning the support of many industry leaders. Especially the shipments of DisplayPort receiver chip grow more and more, and the related test method has become a major issue.In order to solve this problem, this thesis bring a method to combine the board level system and IC tester, based on the general low-cost J750 tester, through the redesign of the load board, make it become a kind of special board level function test system, which can meet the requirements of high test coverage, and meet the low cost considerations. The major work of this thesis contains below items:(1) Fully considered the general requirements of the production testing and the specific requirements of the DisplayPort receiver signal testing, and bring a method to combine the SLT and ATE test from economic perspective, and then make up the overall design method of the test system based on J750 tester.(2) Designed and implemented the load board combined with SLT system, which conform to the requirements of the J750 tester size, also meet the requirements of the DisplayPort signal layout. With appropriate components, it can very good compatibility with the two testing method of SLT and ATE.(3) Developed test vector with test program based on IG-XL software, which is suit for this test system, and it can control ATE compatible with SLT test method.(4) Designed and implemented the validation test for this system. The result is that the test data and test time can both meet the expected requirement, which show this system can be fully realized the requirement of high test coverage and low cost in IC production test.This thesis firstly realizes the DisplayPort receiver function test on low cost J750 tester, and it can be popularized in mass production in the industry. For all kinds of DisplayPort receiver chips, this thesis can provide a more reliable, more effective and more economical testing system, also have a higher value for mass production.
